With warp speed probes they discover three habitable planets in an uncharted system, Eden the most Earthlike but also the most dangerous. Evolution appears to have reached a Jurassic like time period where tectonics have created mountains triple the size of Mt. Everest. It is a more diverse world than they ever hoped for.

Colonization begins with technological wonders that promise a carefree existence, but Jake Tanner vows to not turn Eden into another Earth with mass infrastructure and overpopulated cities. He is determined to cherish the environment and prevent the extinction of even the most ferocious predators.

With a growing dependence on Artificial Intelligence, and a complacency that leaves the human populace vulnerable, then the crushing death of a loved one, Jake begins to expect that not all is perfect in paradise. Pitted against a machine with unlimited brainpower, Jake must depend upon cunning and deception to regain control of their destiny.

As the years pass, curiosity compels a small crew to return to Earth to invite more to join in on their momentous journey, but does evil still lurk in the id, even in an unbounded future?
